About Outils Belges
Outils Belges brings together everyday Belgian tax and administrative calculators in one place, free, fast, and reliable.
Our mission
Belgian tax and administrative rules are complex. Our goal is simple: give you a clear answer in a few seconds to concrete questions , "what's my net salary?", "how much notice period?", "what notary fees?", with no jargon, no sign-up, and no cost.
Who is behind this site
Outils Belges is designed, written and maintained by one person: Ousmane Diop, based in Jette. He picks the tools, collects the scales from the administrations, writes the calculations and answers the messages. His full identity and address appear in the legal notice — on a site that deals with money, knowing who you are dealing with is not a detail.
“I'm Ousmane Diop, an IT Manager based in Belgium. I've spent years designing digital tools and guiding organisations through their digital transformation, with one simple conviction: technology is worth most when it does something concrete for ordinary people.
I'm not a tax adviser — and that is precisely why these tools work the way they do. I don't reinterpret the rules: I apply the scales exactly as the administrations publish them, I cite the source of every figure, and I state plainly what the calculation does not cover. If a figure cannot be verified at the source, it does not ship.”
This is not a payroll office, an accounting firm or a government body. It is an independent site: nobody dictates its figures, and there is nothing to sell you at the end of the calculation.
How a figure ends up on this site
The rule is simple and admits no exception: no amount is invented or copied from another website. Every scale follows the same path:
- Collected from the official source — FPS Finance, NSSO, NEO, NISSE, ONE… never a blog post or a second-hand summary.
- Recorded with its source and date — every constant is stored alongside the official link it came from and the date it was verified.
- Automatically tested — the calculations are covered by several hundred tests replayed on every change, including cases taken from the worked examples the administrations publish themselves.
- Publicly dated — when a scale has been re-verified at the source, the date appears at the top of that tool. When it is absent, the formal verification is still pending: we would rather say nothing than give a false guarantee of freshness.
If a figure cannot be verified, the tool does not publish it. And every calculator states plainly what it does not cover — a number whose limits you don't know is a dangerous number.

What these tools are not
Estimates, not official documents. They carry no value as legal, tax or accounting advice, and replace neither your payroll office, nor your accountant, nor your notary. Your actual situation almost always involves elements a handful of form fields cannot know. For a decision that commits you, have it confirmed by a professional.
Your data stays with you
All calculations run in your browser. The amounts you enter are neither sent nor stored on our servers, and generated documents (such as a PDF invoice) never leave your device. No tracking cookies.
Who is it for?
For employees, self-employed workers, and every Belgian resident who wants to estimate, understand, or prepare a step, French, Dutch, and English speakers (the site is available in all three languages).
How is it funded?
The tools are and will remain free. The site is funded through a few affiliate links to third-party services (brokers, comparison sites…), clearly disclosed and at no extra cost to you, they don't influence the neutrality of the calculations.
